The “Wine Train” – brainchild of the popular 78-acre Spring Lake Winery along the Niagara Escarpment in Lockport and the nearby Medina Railroad Museum -- is back and better than ever. Starting the last Sunday of this month (May 25th), and running through October 26th, passengers can climb aboard for a 1/2-day excursion in vintage 1947 Budd coaches through the beautiful Niagara County countryside, complete with a Continental breakfast onboard the train, to the Spring Lake Winery for a wine tasting at the Tuscan-style stone winery, with lunch on the grill and music by an 18-piece jazz band as they relax by the picturesque 8-acre lake. Guests can also enjoy peaceful strolls through the woods along the winery’s many walking paths and pick up an assortment of mementos at the Gift Shop.
